Desert Dynamic is a painting that is inspired by the beautiful desert of Northwestern Arizona where I live. Many of the mountains around have many different colors that run through the landscape . Why do you think some of them appear so red? The answer involves iron, which bonds with other elements to form minerals famous for their red, rusty hue. The many varieties of cactus is amazing as well. In the springtime, the desert floor becomes alive with brilliant colors of yellow, red, purple and magenta.
